ABOUT ME

I write stories and draw pictures and drink tea.

Long ago I got a BA (Hons) in Illustration at Brighton Polytechnic, then an MA at the RCA. After college I freelanced as a commercial Illustrator and with my friend Andrea devised and ran art workshops for children at the Science Museum and Serpentine Gallery in London. I am currently to be found at Dover Museum showing children how to make Viking heads out of clay.

Feeling that one MA was just not enough, I have finished another one in Children's Book Illustration at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.

2002: D&AD Silver nomination for the most outstanding illustration for Design.

2021: "Highly commended' Macmillan illustration prize.

2021: Winner iSeek novelty book prize.
